Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He was a leading member of All the World's a Stage. Specifically mentioned as stage manager for their productions of Charles XII (Planche) and The Irish Tutor (Glengall) on 22 August 1845 (and he is possibly the actor "Mr L" who appears in both pieces).
He was also one of the trustees of their planned theatre (the Drury Lane Theatre) in Cape Town (1846), and later possibly one of the three owners, with Petrus Cauvin and William White.
