The Business of Murder is a thriller by Richard Harris (born 1934)[1], a prolific British television writer who specialized in crime and detective teleplays. First produced in England in 1981.


Performance history in South Africa

First produced in South Africa by Pieter Toerien by arrangement with Bill Kenwright, opening 20 March 1986 at the Leonard Rayne Theatre before moving to the Baxter Theatre in June 1986, directed by Ken Leach, starring Michael Atkinson (Stone), André Jacobs (Hallett), Janet du Plessis (Dee), Nola Smith (Helen) and John Stuart Clive). Lighting by Jannie Swanepoel, set designed by Kay Page, costume co-ordinator John Tullis. This production also toured to Durban, presented in the Loft Theatre in October 1986.
