They worked in space let to them by Union Artists and Athol Fugard collaborated with them in his early career as a playwright in the 1950s. Other members included Lewis Nkosi, Bloke Modisane, Nat Nakasa, Zakes Mokae, Dan Poho, Stephen Moloi, Ken Gampu, Cornelius Mabaso, Gladys Sibisa and Sheila Fugard. ***
