Die Twisappel (literally "the apple of contention", i.e. "The bone of contention") is a four act comedy in Afrikaans by W.A. de Klerk (1917-1996).

Performance history in South Africa

1955: Directed by Leonie Pienaar for K.A.T. in August 1955.

1955-56: Performed on tour by National Theatre Organisation, playing 208 performances over the 1955-56 seasons. Directed by Anna Richter-Visser, starring Mathilde Hanekom as Mutti, Limpie Basson, Eghard van der Hoven, Tilana Hanekom, Jaco van der Westhuizen, Johann Nell, Cobus Rossouw, Sann de Lange and others. Décor by Kobus Esterhuysen.
