Professional Afrikaans theatre company, launched in 1947 by actor/director André Rousseau.

Founding and early history
The company was formed in Paarl in 1947 by actor/director André Rousseau, after his return from a stay in London during the latter years of WWII.
Its first production, which toured the Union of South Africa, was Liefde in Satyn, an Afrikaans translation and adaptation of Sheridan's The Rivals, which premièred in March 1947.
In July 1947 the company opened their second touring production, Eerloos, an Afrikaans translation and adaptation of W.G. van Nouhuys[1]'s Dutch play by the same name.
