(19**-) Author of radio and stage plays. He is also a poet and lecturer.

Biography

A lecturer in creative writing at the Durban campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.


Training

Career

He has published four volumes of poetry and teaches creative writing at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban. His collection, Time like Stone, won the Ingrid Jonker Prize for 2001.[1]

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Besides his poetry he has written academic articles on poetry and theatre (see ESAT Bibliography), and written a collection of radio plays, and the plays Full Circle. Missing, Presumed Dead and Miss Dolly.


Awards, etc

One of the prize winners in 2000 of Rewards for Playwrights Initiative for his plays Missing, Presumed Dead and Miss Dolly.
