Absence of a Cello (sometimes The Absence of a Cello) is a 1964 Broadway comedy written by American screenwriter and novelist Ira Wallach (1913—1995) [1].

Translations and adaptations

In 1968 the play was rewritten, the setting changed to England, the title to Out of the Question and it opened in the West End in October.
