Die Vleiroos (“The Marsh Rose”) is a play by Pieter-Dirk Uys in Afrikaans about a woman's struggle to protect an unspoilt environment against development.

The World première was on 9 June 1992 at the Nico Arena starring Chris van Niekerk (Ferdinand Barnard), Joey de Koker (Nedda Barnard), Theresa Cloete (Lizzie Smith) and Lynne Maree (Sofie Clarens). Direction was by Pieter-Dirk Uys, design by nicholas de Klerk, lighting by Malcolm Hurrell.
