Le Menteur ("The Liar"), a farcical play by Pierre Corneille.
A farcical play first performed in 1644, based on La Verdad Sospechosa by the Spanish-American playwright Juan Ruíz de Alarcón, and published in French in 1634. It was the source of Samuel Foote's farce, The Liar.
