Elizabeth I is a 1972 play in two acts by American playwright, director and producer Paul Foster (1931-) [1].

Synopsis: Elizabeth I is distressed at the execution of Mary Queen of Scots as performed by a travelling troupe of actors.

1988: Opening on 7 September in The Arena in the Nico Malan Theatre Centre, presented by CAPAB Drama, directed by Ralph Lawson, . The cast: Belinda Koning, Bo Petersen, Fiona Coyne, Mary Dreyer, Diane Wilson, Phillip Boucher, André Roothman, Royston Stoffels, Peter Butler, Timothy Mahoney, André Samuels, Ralph Lawson. Music composed by David Nissen, design co-ordinated by Dicky Longhurst.
