SCHLENGEMANN, Ernst Allister (1904-1930). Afrikaans journalist, poet and playwright who died at the age of 26 years while working at a newspaper, Die Suidwes Afrikaner in Windhoek, South-West Africa. He was the author of the hugely popular Afrikaans farce Die Drie Van Der Walts ("The Three Van Der Walts") and the play In die Gewoel ("In the Bustle").
