Cymbeline, [1] also known as Cymbeline, King of Britain or The Tragedy of Cymbeline, is a play by William Shakespeare. The first recorded production, as noted by Simon Forman, was in April 1611. It was first published in the First Folio in 1623. When Cymbeline was actually written cannot be precisely dated.

Translated into Afrikaans by Tjaart Potgieter under the title of Die Tragedie van Cymbeline (1993).

1993: The Potgieter Afrikaans translation, Die Tragedie van Cymbeline was staged by PACT, directed by Dieter Reible, featuring Louis van Niekerk (Cymbeline), Antoinette Kellerman (Die Koningin/Iachimo), Gustav Geldenhuys (Imogen/Cloten), James Borthwick (Posthumus/Pisanio) with Peter Terry and Bill Curry in various smaller roles. Design and lighting by James MacNamara.
