She has been active as reviewer, broadcaster, newspaper columnist, television presenter and producer in Durban over 30 years. In 1995 she founded the website and newsletter artSMart, sponsored and hosted by Durbanet, on which she and others review arts events in Durban and KwaZulu-Natal, and has continued to edit this for the past 20 years.
Awards, etc
Her awards include the Durban Critics Circle Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Durban Theatre Awards for her contribution to the arts in Durban. In September 2012 she was awarded the Ethekwini Municipality's Living Legend Award for Arts & Culture, a prestigious accolade recognising her contribution to the arts in Durban.
