Born in Bethal South Africa. Studied in Pretoria. Is currently (2014) a full time senior lecturer in Film Music and Composition at AFDA.
Training
Studied drama at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) where he completed a Masters Degree in Cabaret.

Co-composer of Antjie Somers, which won the Fleur du Cap Award in 2000 for Best Musical; Won the FNB Vita Award 2001 for the best performance by a new male performer in El Grande de Coca-Cola; Won the FNB Vita Award 2002 for the best musical theatre male performer in Play@Risk; Won the Nagtegaal Prize in 2003 for his cabaret Tien gesprekke oor die man wat nie wou huil nie.
