Performed in the original French simply as "l'Opéra Comique" by the French Amateur Theatre led by ** in Cape Town, as afterpiece to L'Opéra-Comique assiégé on 28 May 1808. (The author wrongly given by Bosman, 1928, as "Marsollier en [and] Vivetières".)
