Studied at the University of Cape Town and completed a diploma in Drama and Presentation at City Varsity. Abena moved to Johannesburg in 1999.
Career
In Johanneburg she landed the role of Lerato in the soap Generations. She played Claudia in the stage play Honour. This was also her stage debut.
