Subject
Based on Drum writer William ‘Bloke’ Modisane's autobiography Blame Me on History (1963). Bloke Modisane was one of South Africa’s leading black intellectuals of the 1950s and 1960s and this musical was a celebration of his genius.

1994: Premièred by PACT in 1994 at the Windybrow Theatre, directed by Walter Chakela, with Samson Khumalo, Hamlet Maboa, Donald Woodburn, Thembi Mtshali (as Miriam Makeba) and others. Musicians led by McCoy Murubatu.
