Biography

Born Elsabé Grobbelaar, 1955. Her daughter Roeline Daneel is an actress.

Training

After matric at Jan van Riebeeck High School, Cape Town, she studied at the University of Stellenbosch where she completed B.A. (Languages, Psychology and Drama Theory), 1976 and a Higher Teacher’s Diploma in 1977. She attended Charles Kebbe Acting School, New York, USA, 1981 – 1982; Ian Masters (BBC) 1994; TV presenting and interviewing skills, Johannesburg, 1994; SAQA, Cape Town, Assessor Qualification, 2005.
