Kermis op Koekenmoer is a translation into Afrikaans by Merwe Scholtz of a sophisticated comedy (Die Sorgen und die Macht?) about the conflict between art and power by German playwright, author, and essayist Peter Hacks (1928-2003). The translated version was directed by Peter Kleinschmidt for CAPAB in August 1983, starring Mees Xteen, George Ballot and Amanda Strydom (Elsabé Zietsman?). Music by Marilyn Taylor, decor and costumes by Dicky Longhurst, lighting by Malcolm Hurrell.
