("The Case about the Water") by C.J. Langenhoven. A one-act comedy about language differences and legal squabbles about water rights. Written somewhere between 1906 and 1909, it his first piece for the stage. An expanded version of this piece became Die Wêreld die Draai (1912), later once more reworked as a full-length play, Die Laaste van die Takhare (1926).

Presented in the period 1911-1918 by the Afrikaans-Hollandse Toneelvereniging, directed by Stephanus Maré.
Danie Olivier directed a production by the Middelburgse Kultuurvereniging in the 1920s.
