The original text
One of Aron's "Irish" plays, it deals with the efforts of a daughter to escape her mother’s stifling influence, which come to fruition when a defrocked priest arrives to lodge in their boarding-house.
First published in the collection Seven Plays and Four Monologues (Aron, 1985).

1977: First performed as part of a Triple Bill with The Shrinking of Alby Chapman and Bar and Ger in the Baxter Theatre Studio in 1977. Directed by Glynn Day, starring Pippa Duffy, Glynn Day, Rita Zazeraj, Lynn Banner, Dermod Judge, Chris McWilliams, Erica Benn.
