A circus founded in Cape Town by Signor Severo, who had been a partner of Dalle Case in the Italian Circus. When the partners split up in February 1848, Severo then continued with what he called the African Circus, offering performances in Cape Town and Stellenbosch till October. The circus folded when he then left for Rio de Janeiro.
