Biography
Born the son of the playwright Richard Brinsley Sheridan and Elizabeth Anne Sheridan, he was married to Caroline Henrietta Sheridan and the couple had 10 children.
Contribution to South African theatre
He was a member of the Garrison Players, and wrote a prologue to their performance of Wild Oats (O'Keefe) on 4 November, 1815. He died at the Cape in 1817, while still involved with theatricals.
