Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
With Louis Balkind he took over management of the Academy Theatre of Laughter from Dave Levin in 198* and renamed it The Siegfried Mynhardt in 1984. He presented Jeremy Taylor’s Stuff here in 1984 until a fire destroyed the venue and the show was moved to a restaurant next door and then the Intimate Theatre. Anthony Farmer then designed an intimate dinner theatre in its place and it was renamed the La Parisienne. The opening production was Oh! La! La! conceived and directed by Siegfried Mynhardt.
