The Willing Victim is a one-act play by Tania van Zyl.
A mix of prose and poetry, set in a futuristic world and dealing with the erosion of law and order and its replacement with a set of arbitrary rules. Treating the ruthlessness and greed of the gladiator “Will”, who to ingratiate himself with the generals (“Do” and “Dare”), fights the Executioner for his own glory. A companion piece to her play The Unwilling Fighter. Published in Contrast Vol I, No 3, Winter 1961.
