The Fair one with the Golden Locks is an original musical extravaganza, in one act by J. R. Planché, Esq. based on the popular nursery tale by the Coutess D'Anois.

Performance history in South Africa
A lavish pantomime produced by Disney Roebuck in 1882, at the Theatre Royal in Cape Town, directed by Frank Towers. Made notable by the fact that Roebuck invited the Zulu chief Chetswayo, then in exile at Oude Molen, to a performance.
