Arthur Lane (1910-1987) British actor, director and producer.

Biography
Arthur Lane was born on 11 June 1910 in Kings Norton, Birmingham, England, UK. He was an actor and director. He appeared in the films The Strange World of Planet X (1956), Secret Venture (1955) and The Interrupted Journey (1949).
Together with his wife, Audrey Lupton, Lane presented pantomimes and employed some big star names from the worlds of Pantomime and Pop in their time. They also ran the Wimbledon Theatre for a period as well as presenting shows in the West End and on tour.
He died on 28 April 1987 in Sutton, Surrey, England, UK.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
In 1971, Lane and Lupton presented the pantomime Snow White with Anthony Bygraves, Billy Burden, Ken Wood and Beau Daniels at the Alhambra Theatre in Cape Town.
