Forming part of a month-long Etensuurtoneel (Lunch Hour Theatre") programme, offered by the company as part of the 1971 [[Republic Festival]] celebrations, it was created by the cast (consisting of [[Wilna Snyman]], [[Annette Engelbrecht]], [[Paul Eilers]] and [[George Ballot]]) and directed by [[Truida Louw]]. It formed a double bill with ''[[Die Sterkste]]'' by August Strindberg.
