(Not to be confused with TV and film producer and director Danie Odendaal (1947-2024).)

He is listed as a prominent member of the Afrikaans theatrical society, Volksteater, in Pretoria and appeared in the 1938 Joseph Albrecht film, Die Bou van 'n Nasie[1]Die Bou van 'n Nasie, playing the Boer leader Gerrit Maritz.
