Biography

He did his doctorate in 2018 on A reception history of opera in Cape Town: Tracing the development of a distinctly South African operatic aesthetic (1985–2015).

He is a research fellow and publications editor at the Africa Open Institute for Music, Research and Innovation at Stellenbosch University.
