Tafelberg se Kleed ("Table Mountain's Cloth") is an Afrikaans opera by Albert Coates.

Also known as Van Hunks and the Devil or The Tablecloth.


The original text

It is an opera based on local folklore and composed for the Jan van Riebeeck Festival in 1952.

1952: Presented by the UCT Opera Company in the Cape Town City Hall as part of the Van Riebeeck Festival of Music and Drama, conducted by Albert Coates (March).
