Durban Amateur Grand Opera Society was an amateur society in Durban.
History
The Durban Amateur Grand Opera Society was established in 1928 by Dan Godfrey (former conductor of the Bournemouth Municipal Orchestra and musical director of the Durban Orchestra). The society staged Charles Gounod’s Faust and Giuseppe Verdi’s Il trovatore.
