Michael Bentine (1922-1996) [1] was an English actor and comedian. He started his acting career in 1940, and 1951 became a founding member of The Goons. He came to South Africa in 1967 with George Black and Alfred Black’s touring production of Let Yourself Go, under the auspices of African Consolidated Theatres.
