La serva padrona ("The Servant Turned Mistress") [1] is a 1733 opera buffa by Italian composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (1710 – 1736) [2].

1952: Staged by the University of Cape Town Opera Company on tour across the Western and Eastern Cape.
1962: Presented at the Parow Civic Theatre, conducted by Geoffrey Miller (November)
2008: It was staged in Cape Town in 2008, directed by Lara Bye.
