Born in Kwa-Mashu, north of Durban, in June, 1960, where he attended local schools.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He began his career as actor at school in 1976, appearing in a play called Mgenzeni, followed by roles in Usizi by Dumisani Mahlaba (playing a priest) and Unomzamo by Thamnsanqa Khumalo and Dumisani Mahlaba (performed 1979).
In 1981 he moved to
