Skyvers by Barry Reckord. **. *** A local version called Skyvers/Jollers [Cape Afrikaans for “Skyvers”], set in Woodstock, Cape Town and utilizing the local dialects, was done at The Space (Cape Town) in 1972, adapted and directed by Robin Malan with his cast (Phillip Boucher, Awie De Swardt, Bill Flynn, Dawie Malan, Robin Malan, Lynne Maree, Peter Piccolo, Paul Slabolepszy and Helena Stockigt) Malan left and was replaced by Pieter-Dirk Uys after two weeks. Lighting Les Broer, stage management by Donald Fuller and Bee Berman.
