The original text

A play about Winston, a wild African lion, captured by white hunters and sold to an English circus.

Published by Methuen Publishing Ltd in 1984 and Heinemann in 1988

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Afrikaans as Die Koelkopkat (lit "The cool-headed cat") by Tinus Visser and Bernie Visser.
