Richard of Bordeaux by Gordon Daviot (the pen name of Elizabeth MacIntosh). Written for John Gielgud who directed it with himself as Richard at the New Theatre London in February 1932. An enormous success. Performed in South Africa by the Children's Theatre at the Wits Great Hall in 1951, directed by Minna Millsten with sets by her husband Basil Warner starring John Rutherford.
