The Great Trek was one of the most important cornerstones of South African history and this film deals with its heroes and achievements.

Director of photography is Lionel Friedberg, the script by Donald Swanson, Ruth St. Moritz designes the costumes, Irene Hasselau the make-up and art direction by Peter Church. Patrick Mynhardt, Pieter Hauptfleisch, Tromp Terreblanche, June Neethling, Melody o'Brian, Johan du Plooy, Dirk van den Bergh and Carel Trichardt are the actors.
