Started in Pretoria (with Volksteater?*), then moved to Cape Town (K.A.T.?*). Husband of Hélène Pienaar-De Klerk.

Wrote Die Ring, a one-act play, with Hélène Pienaar-De Klerk; the one-act play Die Verstoteling; the one-act play Plaas Toe; and co-wrote the historical drama Die Ongebore Dag.
He translated the play Grumpy into Afrikaans with the title Oupa Brompie, The Happiest Days of Your Life entitled Onnies en Ouers and Vlieg Sonder Vlerke ("Fly without wings", a translation of an unnamed paly by Valentin Petrovich Kataev.
