The original text
Originally titled and broadcast as Die nag het geweers, the piece was slightly reworked for publication and given the title Op 'n kaal eiland.
Published as Op 'n kaal eiland in the play collection Die Kleiner Kosmos (Breytenbach and Hauptfleisch, 1980).
