The original text
Subtitled "A Cautionary Comedy in One Act", the play was first published in 1943 by Samuel French and subsequently included in the collection The Best one-act Plays of 1942-43 edited by J.W. Marriott, published by Harrap in 1944.
Translations and adaptations
Translated into Afrikaans and adapted as a radio drama by Laetitia Terblanche, and broadcast by Afrikaans Service of the SABC on 3 November, 1965.
Text was once more broadcast on the Afrikaans Service of the SABC on 2 January, 1980, directed by Leon van Nierop.
