The play opened at the Longacre Theater on Broadway on 13 October 1954 and was directed by Michael Douglas.  The cast included Ronny Graham, Kim Hunter and Robert Preston.  The following year it was turned into a motion picture directed by Charles Walters and starred Frank Sinatra, Debbie Reynolds and David Wayne.

1965: The play opened at the [[Alexander Theatre]] on 5 May with a cast consisting of [[Michael McGovern]], [[Diane Wilson]], [[Gordon Mulholland]], [[Clive Parnell]], [[Annabel Linder]], [[Melody O'Brian]], [[Shelagh Holliday]] and [[Beverley Peirce]].  It was directed by [[Ricky Arden]] and the set design was by [[Elizabeth MacLeish]].
