Biography
He is the son of the Afrikaans writer Riana Scheepers. Adriaan studied at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in the 2000s, completing Adriaan Meyer a B.A. Honnours degree there, specializing in playwrting and directing.

Theatre work
While at University he wrote a short play called Is Boos! (subtitled Meyer Versus) as an exercise for the creative writing module. In the same period he also wrote the text for and directed Prinsloo Versus, for which he was awarded the Jong Kanna for best performance in student theatre at the KKNK, 2004.
