Biography

Received her schooling at Hoërskool Dr E.G. Jansen (1974-1978), then completed a BA (Hons), Communication (1979-1982) at the University of Johannesburg.

She then entered the media world to become a journalist and reviewer with Media24 for the next 30 years. In that time, she largely worked in the area of entertainment and lifestyle reporting, including writing profiles on several local and international stars.

In 2014-2015 she took an course in "Inner Life Skills Coaching" from ILS Coaching International, and began a career as a Master Coach.

Amanda de Lange has been a journalist for 30 years. In that time, she excelled in the area of entertainment and lifestyle reporting, as well as writing memorable profiles on several local and international stars. Amanda was also known as someone who did not shy away from asking the difficult questions, yet managed to tackle sensitive issues in the lives of people she profiled with integrity. Her ability to ask the right – and important – questions is something that has great value in her new career as a life coach. After leaving Media24 in 2014, Amanda made a career change and qualified as a master coach through ILS Coaching International – a local qualification that is accredited by both Comensa (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa) and the ICF (International Coach Federation). Since qualifying Amanda has developed and presented several successful workshops. She also works in one on one sessions with individuals as a change strategist. Her ability to ask relevant and powerful questions that brings breakthrough into the personal lives and the careers of her clients, has attributed to her success.
