Danie Odendaal (1947-2024) was a television writer and producer.

Biography
Born on the East Rand and matriculated there. He studied at the University of Stellenbosch, the Sorbonne and Trinity College, Cambridge.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He is the owner of the production company Danie Odendaal Produksies and, with Annie Basson, the producer of 7de Laan. He was also the scriptwriter for television productions such as Veldslag and Netwerk.
