Established in 1986, Rekord became the capital city's largest community newspaper group, and publishes nine weekly titles (o.e. Rekord East, Rekord Far East, Rekord North, Rekord Moot, Rekord Centurion, Rekord Central, Rekord Mamelodi, Rekord West and Rekord Noweto) and distributes 287 830 newspapers across the city every week.
The Rekord content is widely available electronically on social media platforms and local news sites, but PDF replicas of Rekord East, Rekord Far East, Rekord North, Rekord Moot, Rekord Centurion, including all editorial and advertising content, are also available online.
