Biography
Born Mark Albert Kavanagh in London, 1866, he became an "operatic vocalist" and seems to have used the name Albert Cavanagh on occasion. He was later a prominent member of the D'Oyly Carte Company.
He died on 26 January 1922.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
According to D.C. Boonzaier (1923), Albert Cavanagh arrived in South Africa as a prominent member of the first D'Oyly Carte Company to visit the country in 1897.
