The Cape Town International Kite Festival is Africa's biggest (some also say oldest) kite festival and attracts over 20,000 visitors annually, with kiting exponents from South Africa and other parts of the world participating.
The event includes activities such as kite-making, kite-flying, food stalls, kiddies’ rides, a full programme of entertainment and an eclectic craft market, and takes place on (and above) the lawns of Zandvlei Nature Reserve, Muizenberg daily during October.
