Biography

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She was the co-founder of a company generally referred to as The Bowmers, a name usually given to a company of singers and performers, that performed occasionally in Cape Town in the years 1863-1864. The company also included J.F. Finlayson, Miss Whitfield, and a Mr Schilling as pianist. She and her husband were apparently also the creators of a "Dialogue Entertainment", in Two Parts, entitled Retaliation, or Tit for Tat
